Seattle Pet
Photographer
Welcome! Pets have been part of my family for over thirty years. I know how important they are in our everyday lives not only as companions, but as members of our families. And capturing their unique personalities in a fine art portrait is just as important as the images we create of those closest to us.

“We had a session with Charlie to get a portrait of our French Bulldog. It was positive from start to finish. Our guy is a little shy and he felt comfortable right away, so he captured the personality of the dog we love and immortalized it. The resulting portrait is an actual work of art— beautifully printed on gorgeous paper. Highly recommended!”

About Our Pet Portrait Sessions
What You Should Know
These are not your average pet photos. I create these portraits with a fine art approach in my studio using lighting, retouching, and creative color grades. I personally print each portrait to exacting standards using a combination of the world’s finest inks and papers, producing exquisite prints that are archival to over 100 years when displayed properly.
Your session takes place at the Charles Cotugno Photography studio in the SoDo neighborhood of Seattle, right next to the Old Rainier Brewery, with free garage parking. Depending on each individual dog’s personality, sessions last from twenty to ninety minutes. There’s also a roof top common area just outside our door should your dog (or you!) need a break from the action.
Tips for Your Pet Portrait Session
Just as you would prepare for your own portrait session, your pet needs to be prepared as well. Here are some tips and guidelines to follow for a successful session.
Have them bathed and groomed as close to your session date as possible.
Refresh the basic commands such as sit, stay, down, etc.
Make sure your pet is not hungry.
Bring along their favorite treats. We have some here but we know some can be picky eaters.
Their favorite toy can be comforting and help get their attention on the camera.
Burn off as much of your pet’s extra energy as possible before your session.
Have one handler for each pet you bring along.
